This puppy is a thief. She has stolen two things, hearts. She has completely come in and stolen my husband’s and my heart. She is too stinkin’ cute. Who is she?
This is Ruby Sue, the Boston Terrier, or as my friends call her “The Pirate Pooch”.
Yep, she only has one eye, but that does not stop her in the least. While she was in foster care, a larger dog jumped on her. The family she was with sprang into action, separated the dogs, and rushed Ruby to the vet. The vet said they could not save the eye and that this kind of injury is common in dogs with eyes like Ruby’s.
You know what? That’s fine. We knew her before she lost it and fell in love with her, and that didn’t change after she lost her eye. She is a lovable, cuddly, goofy puppy, and we wouldn’t trade her for the world.
If you are looking for a pet, please, adopt from shelters and fosters. The more you do this, the more you help stamp out puppy mills. Don’t be afraid to adopt an animal with health problems or missing limbs. They need your love and attention as well.
