Over the next week or two, there will be delays in uploading new chapters of the novellas.

It’s been nuts. Why?

Chronicle of a Teenage Werewolf: The Briefing

Chapter 7

I hate this room. They could do more to make it comfy, but then again it’s a conference room. I shouldn’t expect much.
Gloria sighed as she made her way around the oak table to one of the executive chairs closest to the whiteboard. There was a slide projector on the far end and every place at the table had a booklet held together by a plastic cover and slide. The first page had Armin’s mugshot.

Your ingredients

Ah, fall, the turning of the leaves, the cooler weather, pumpkin spice everything, and people yelling at the QB because he has become colorblind or screaming at the ref accusing them of making a bad call.

It’s football season, and with the season comes all the snacks you can either order or make yourself. So, here is the first recipe of football season:

Jalapeno Poppers.

Chronicle of a Teenage Werewolf: My First Day

Chapter 6…

Notes from the writer...

Heyllo, everyone, it’s your favorite mad woman of the internet. I bet you’re wondering why Chapter 6 is late.

Last Monday was a holiday. So, the chapter did not get posted. Without further chit-chat, here is the chapter…

Angie had to keep herself from rolling out of bed when the banging in the hall started. She pushed her hair out of her eyes and fumbled with the covers before throwing her legs over the side of the bed.

Jade was walking down the hall with earplugs in and banging a garbage lid, “Alright, new pups, this is the one and only time I will be doing this to wake you. Get out of bed, children, and make your way to the cafeteria.”

Angie waved her hand around the area of the nightstand trying to find the lamp and stopped. She was making out the furniture and other things in the room with the little bit of light seeping from under her door. She flipped on the light and her eyes stung before they grew accustomed to the brightness. She walked over to her closet and slipped into a warm-up set and sneakers. She stopped in front of her mirror long enough to tie up her hair and open the door.
Jade smiled, “I knew you would be the first one in the hall. That’s good.”

The den mother motioned to the door at the beginning, “Go through that door and turn right. The cafeteria is at the end of the hall. Grab a tray and get in line, hun.”
Angie nodded and followed the directions and found her nose was being bombarded with a multitude of smells, some familiar and some new, but all at the same time.

Just My Luck: The Search

Chapter 5

I have no clue why she sent me here. Magic isn’t my thing.

A middle-aged man rubbed his flattop and made his way into the Ninth Circle. Upon crossing the threshold, he was met by a troll with smooth features and small tusks.

The left corner of the troll’s mouth turned up slightly, “Pitbull, what are you doing here? Flashpoint doesn’t usually get here until after 7. We just opened.”

Pitbull nodded his head as he held up one hand, “I know that, big guy. She’s gone missing, and I was wondering if you or anyone else saw her here a couple of nights ago.”

Just My Luck: Chapter Four

Negotiations and Memories

Laura finished her meal smiling on the inside. Longbow was known in many circles, and you just didn’t drop the name if you didn’t know him.

She paced the room as sweat formed on her brow. She looked for any way out she could imagine and found none. Defeated, she leaned against the wall opposite the door and slid to the floor hugging her legs. She closed her eyes and started taking slow and methodical breaths.

At least it’s not a closet.

She closed her eyes and thought back to her first meeting with Longbow.

Chronicle of a Teenage Werewolf: Chapter 5

My New Home

Angie tried her best to keep her mind busy while waiting to be called and assigned a room. The feral had gone from sitting and fidgeting to pacing and scratching his arms. His head took turns jerking from one side to another as he walked from the entrance to the benches.
Krystal looked up at the feral, “Hey kid.”

He stopped and looked at Krystal, “Yeah?”

“I hate to say this, but if you don’t find a way to chill, I am going to have to tranq you, savy?”

Just My Luck: Chapter Three

Longbow stood looking out the window while sipping his coffee. He glanced over at Mims who was mixing batter for pancakes and then to his phone for any sign of Laura having responded, but there was nothing.

Mims poured the first quarter cup of batter into the iron skillet, “Haven’t heard from her yet?”

Longbow shook his head as he made his way back to the kitchen table where his laptop sat. He clicked his calendar and to-do lists. He answered two emails, refilled his cup, and was four-deep in his email responses when he heard Mims clear her throat.
