Seeing Less and Less of Me.

…or how my Monday started out with me finding out how much weight I lost.

That’s right! I have been walking, watching what I eat and my calorie count. I weighed myself this morning to find out I had lost FOUR POUNDS!

Holy Shit! It’s working! I am getting lighter and feeling better. How am I doing this?!

One week ago.
This morning!

No, I am not sucking it in to make myself look thinner. I am doing a crunch challenge along with it.

I have been really careful about what I eat, but I haven’t been depriving myself either. Yesterday, I had donut and a beer, both of which did not put me over my calories for the day.

I want to prove to people a few things:

  • It does not matter how old you are. You can do this. I am 46 and on my way.
  • You don’t have to deprive yourself of what you love to lose weight. I haven’t. I have even eaten chips and restaurant food.
  • You can eat healthy and it doesn’t have to be tasteless.

Supplements?

I am only taking my iron pill as I am anemic. I am not taking any diet pills, drinking pre-made shakes or anything of that nature. If you want to do that fine. I will not begrudge you. I, however, tried that route and only managed to gain back the weight I lost when I stopped drinking the shakes and taking the pills. Never again for me.

As I am also lactose intolerant, I am being particularly keen on my calcium intake. When we have health insurance, I will go get checked out and see if I need to add a calcium supplement to my regimen.

I have been posting my activity and my weight on my Instagram. I am still posting recipes on there as well, but I will probably be posting more recipes here, if they are long enough.

Until next time,
Anissa “Maddy” Walker
