Little One Lost
I used to wonder how big you were,
While you were in my womb.
I would marvel at the life in me,
The miracle that was you.
We would wonder what you would be like,
Who you would resemble most.
We would joke about the times we’d have,
Playing with you, and now you are ghost.
You left this world before you arrived,
Breaking both our hearts.
Now are coping with the loss,
The pain that really smarts.
No cradle, crib or bassinet will be in our home.
As you are with God.
Little one, we love you so;
Our little, we loved and lost.
A little catharsis. Still working through the miscarriage.
Until next time, God Bless.
