I have been going through some things that have had me losing my love for creating anything. Yes, it was that old enemy depression, but I am not going into all that here.
This is a blog post about how I am going to do reviews about all types of things on my review channel and here, but before I do, I will list here the criteria that I will use on my video channel. The format for my reviews will not change on here. Just keep in mind that my reviews are my opinions and mine alone.
Movie and Show Review Criteria
Overall story: This includes how solid the story is and any plot holes that present themselves. I will also let you know if it was confusing or just doesn’t make any sense.
Casting choices: This should be self-explanatory. If I have read the books or seen the original show, I will compare. If not, I will elaborate on whether or not the actor fits the role.
Acting: There is an actor playing a part and an actor being the character. I will give you my opinion on whether they did the first or the second. I will also let you know if I feel they have put their all into it or just showed up for a paycheck.
Overall look and feel: This includes lighting, costuming, background, and filters used.
Special Effects: This includes practical and computer-generated effects.
Manga and Comics Criteria
These will be rated on story, artwork, and lettering.
Animated show or feature-length film Criteria
I will be looking for the smoothness of the animation, the backdrops, character models, shading, and overall story. I will also cover what I think about the voice actors.
If there is anything I am missing, let me know.
I do take requests, and if you would like yours to be at the top of the list, you can be a supporter.
Until next time,
Anissa “Maddy” Walker
